Work, Ship, Work, Ship, & again Work, Ship is the Approach to Success

Do your work, and rest will happen at the right time. Yes, that proved true. I wrote a movie script (Work) in 2015 and pitched (Ship) to studios thereafter. In 2017 agreement was signed with a leading prediction house. That’s it. My work was over. Then I started working on my next script and shipping also followed.

Then comes 2021 suddenly I came to know the movie based on my story is being produced by the production house with none other than actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Danny Danzongpa, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher.  The movie was directed by one of the finest directors Sooraj Barjatya.

In Sep 2022, I saw the movie at a special screening, in Oct the trailer was launched, and on 11th Nov 22, the movie was released after the grand premier on the 9th, with story credit to my name.

Here is a link to the trailer.

After writing 11 books, today I have one movie credit as a story writer. My work of writing and pitching was done over five years ago. The seed grew at its own pace and finally, the tree is grown. But it might not have happened at all.

This is how things happen or does not happen in the universe. The following verse of the Bhagwat Gita should be the approach to doing any action.

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भुर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि

Meaning: You have the right to work only but never to its fruits.
Let not the fruits of action be your motive, nor let your attachment be to inaction.

My work and shipping have been continued till now since 2015 when I first wrote the movie script.

“What seems to us as bitter trials are often blessings in disguise.” Oscar Wilde

I deferred this post for 4 months considering what to write about just one success but on second thought, I thought it might help readers waiting for their 1st success because;

“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Mark Twain
