6 Foods Can Make Your Children Diseased Adult

Do you know you are making your children diseased by your casual approach to parenting? Education about the good food habits is an important aspect of parenting.

Some of the foods children like and eat are dangerous for their immediate as well as long-term health. They are not supposed to know about the side effects (We believe this should be a subject in the school like history and science for 10 years).

However, if you as a parent do not know this and don’t guide your children about the healthy food habits, you are certainly failing in one of the most important duties of parents.

These are junk foods which have low nutritional value and high calories. Low nutrition and the high calorie is the right recipe for lifestyle diseases.

Here is a list of 6 such foods. You and your children should know about these before you eat.

Biscuits:

Biscuits have moderate to high on sugar. Cream biscuits are very high on sugar. It has Maida, (refined wheat flour) which is bad for your stomach. It has chemicals like preservatives. Hydrogenated fats are known as Trans-fat increase bad cholesterol and decrease good cholesterol.

Not good for stomach, not good for cholesterol and regular/excess can cause diabetes.

This is high on sugar and low on nutrition.

Digestive biscuits and other fancy so-called healthy biscuits are no better.

Bread:

Refined wheat flour has no nutrition. It adds pressure on the digestive system. Sugar level spike for digestion. This spike and subsequent crash lead to sugar level fluctuation.

This frequent fluctuation leads to erratic blood sugar levels. Regular erratic levels lead to Diabetes.

Weight gain and depression are other side effects of regular and excess bread consumption.

Pizza:

On average, a large slice of pepperoni pizza contains 311 calories, 13.5 grams of total fat (5.5 grams saturated), and 720 milligrams of sodium. And that’s just one slice, which almost never happens.

in the Cosmopolitan writes:

  • 0 to 10 minutes: release digestive enzymes which break carb into sugar.
  • 10 to 15 minutes: Sugar hits bloodstream
  • In 30 minutes: Body starts digesting fat from cheese, raise triglycerides (fat in the blood) level. This could contribute to clogged arteries.
  • The effect will remain in the body for 3 to 4 hours.

 A healthy substitute is homemade Khakhara Pizza.

Cakes:

Rich in fat and carbohydrate, cakes are Obesity inducing. Cakes are also high on Sugar. High sugar means high chances of diabetes and other connected diseases.

High sugar reduces white blood cess and hence low immunity. Butter and margarine are used in cakes. These contents rise blood cholesterol level in the body.

Mood swing, sleepiness, the digestive problem are the other side effects of eating cakes.

Homemade sweets are healthy options.

Noodles:

According to a report published by the World Instant Noodles Association, India stands fourth in the global instant noodles consumption listing at 5.5 billion servings per year

According to the South Korean study conducted on the effects of instant noodles on human health, “Although instant noodles is a convenient and delicious food, there could be an increased risk for metabolic syndrome given [the food’s] high sodium, unhealthy saturated fat and glycemic loads,”

The study concluded that excessive instant noodle consumption can trigger obesity,  metabolic ailments like diabetes, high blood pressure, hypertension, heart problems.

Here is a better substitute i.e. Healthy Low-Calorie Pasta.

Aerated Drinks:

This is hyper risky for the health.

It contains excess sugar, double the sugar our body needs in a day. This high dose of sugar leads to insulting burst. In response, the liver converts it into fat. Results Obesity.

This adds pressure on our organs and leads to many lifestyle diseases including diabetes.

High pH level also affects tooth enamel.

Premature aging, cancer, heart disease are some of the other risks of these aerated fizzy soft drinks.

Don’t say Just NO to your child. Educate them about the risks and the dangers of these foods. This will have a sustainable impact.

Not only they grow up as a diseased adult, but it can also impact their family life.

Do not express your love by allowing them what they want. They will cruse you if they grow up as a diseased adult due to your lack of right parenting.
