Lack of Fitness is not about lack of knowledge about the fitness. We all have enough or rather more knowledge about the fitness than we can use. Yoga, exercise, Gym, diet, walking and jogging and even more everything we know. With social media, we have more information than we can digest and use.
The issue is lack of motivation and lack of priority. Motivation level is low because we have given priority to everything else in life than our own fitness.
Everyone has fix time in a day. Different people barter it for different things.
- Sleep
- Work/Study
- Commuting
- Daily routine (Lunch, dinner, breakfast, bath, newspaper etc.)
- Gossiping/ TV/Social Media
- Family time
- Pursuing hobby
- Fitness
Any imbalance will impact the other aspects. Any tilt towards unimportant things will affect important things because hours are only 24.

We invest money for our rich retirement, but the irony is we don’t invest enough time for our healthy retirement.
Time for retirement is investing our present time for our health and fitness. Unless we invest enough time for our retirement, money invested for retirement will be used for medicines and treatments.
If you invest adequate time for retirement now, money invested for the retirement will be used to pursue your dreams and aspirations.
You want to spend time with your pain/immobility/ hospitals or you want to do what you always wanted to do in life after the retirement.
We realize this very late in life.
The first insurance everyone needs are our own fitness. No life insurance or health insurance company will help you with this policy. Their policies won’t keep you fit.
It is your own policy towards your health and fitness matters. You are your own actuary. You can take the help of fitness trainers and dietician but insurance cover will remain active with your own action, daily.

First and foremost happiness will come from our own fitness. Sadly for most people, their money earning activities, their lethargy, and their excuses are more important than their health and fitness.

The most important ingredient in successful retirement planning is retiring healthy. Your time for the planning of healthy aging had started long back. The good news is there is still hope As the famous quote says.”Today is the first day of rest of your life.”
